After months of work, the new camayahvisuals.com is live. This is our first iteration. It will keep getting better.
For years, our work lived in Pixieset galleries. That did the job when we were starting out. But we outgrew it. We needed a real home. A place where our work, our partners, and their stories could sit in one place. A place where new organizations and businesses could start the conversation with us.
So we built one. We designed and developed the site ourselves. Every page, every portfolio category, every line of copy. The same work we do for our web design clients, we did for Camayah Visuals.
The site is a home for our partners too. Central Square BID. MBLA. NuVu. Cambridge Arts. Adius Arts Initiative. Their work sits inside ours because we have sat inside theirs.
Before Camayah Visuals, David ran a web development and design business for years. That part of the story did not go away. It became part of what we offer. If you need a website, we build websites. If you need photography, video, and a site to hold all of it, we do all three.
This site is the proof. We did not hand it off. We made it.
An Iris Photoshoot Is Coming
One of the things we wanted on the new site was an about page that actually looked like us. So Iris did a photoshoot to make it real. Those images are what anchor our about page now. We are writing a separate post on that shoot. It will link back here when it goes live.
This site is not finished. A site like this never is. We are still fine tuning. Responsive typography, animations, the portfolio flow, the SEO foundation. The weeks and months ahead will be a steady series of small improvements.
But the foundation is set. This is home now. It is where our work lives. It is where our partners are represented. It is where anyone inquiring about working with us can see what we are about.
If you have an organization or business that needs visuals, a website, or both, start the conversation here.
